Merritt Island Wildlife Refuge
Merritt Island Wildlife Refuge, located just east of Titusville, shares a common boundary with the Kennedy Space Center. It's coastal location, tropic-like climate, and wide variety of habitat types contribute to Merritt Island's diverse bird population. Of the 503 species of birds statewide, 358 have been identified in the refuge.
